I've always really liked the simple composition and brushwork of this one. This was about seven or eight years and apartments ago... strange to think about. My husky was young then, and she systematically destroyed that couch. She unstitched the piping and ripped the arms down to the particle board frame. Oh well...it was an ugly couch anyway. I like this painting. We have a greyhound mix and in her youth she ate 2 chairs. Ate the upholstery and ate the wood. But we still have her - she is more valuable than a chair.
